End the Year with Impact

Why Your Support Matters
Sharks are vital to healthy oceans — and so are the scientists who study them. Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS) was founded to create a safe, supportive space for gender minorities of color in marine science. We break barriers, amplify voices, and open doors to opportunities that have long been out of reach.

Shark-a-Thon 2025 is about more than raising money. It’s about building a future where shark science reflects the diversity of our world.
Every dollar you give helps us:
Fund workshops and mentorship programs that empower the next generation of shark scientists
🦈 Provide hands-on research experiences and networking opportunities
🦈 Support members with travel grants, stipends, and career development resources
🦈 Grow a community where passion for sharks meets equity and inclusion

When we invest in shark scientists, we invest in the future of our oceans.
